WORSHIP GOD ~ With your Body a “Living Sacrifice” (Avatar) for JESUS-!

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a Living Sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship” (Rom. 12:1)

The heart of ALL Worship to our GOD is sacrifice (not merely singing praises). God had ‘worship’ regulations in the Old Covenant requiring sacrificing animals on the altar, which was temporary until Jesus offered his body. Paul said, “It was symbolic for the present time in which both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make him who performed the service —PERFECT in regard to the Conscience concerned only with foods and drinks, various washings, and fleshly ordinances imposed until the time of reformation” (Heb. 9:9-10).

The New Covenant informs us that we are to Worship GOD —by offering our human bodies as a living sacrifice. This is what transforms us into the PERFECT New Man in-Christ and cleanses our consciences by Jesus’ Blood. As a HOLY Spirit filled ‘human clone’ of my past and future Higher-Christ-Self, I voluntarily surrender my body to GOD as a HOLY living sacrifice, which is my only reasonable spiritual act of worship (Rom. 12:1).

When you Put-On your New Wo-MAN, and people see you, hear you, and touch you —they are seeing, hearing, and touching a part (how-be-it) so small —of the Risen Christ because the —Spirit of Christ —lives in your heart. So, when a brother or sister in-Christ does anything —“In the name of Jesus” —be mindful that the the Spirit of Christ is in them (Rom. 8:9). I started meditating on this concept one day while editing this book. I prayed for the HOLY Spirit to open up the “Spirit of my Mind” to —Put-On my New Man. It suddenly hit me —I realized that I am an avatar for Jesus. My body was a living sacrifice to worship the ONE living GOD. Paul said, I want to glorify and worship GOD by offering my body to Him as a living sacrifice to —channel my New Man. The Apostle Paul instructs us to channel our New Man:
1. “Put On the New Man, who is renewed in knowledge after the image of him who created him” (Col. 3:10);
2. “He is a New Creature: Old things are passed away; behold, all things are become New” (Cor. 5:17);
3. “As Christ was raised up from the dead, … even so we also should walk in Newness of Life” (Rom. 6:4);
4. “For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have Put on Christ” (Gal. 3:27);
5. “For in my Inner Man I delight in God’s law” (Rom. 7:22);
6. “Though our Outer Man is wasting away, our Inner Man is being renewed day by day” (2 Cor. 4:16); and
7. “May he grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your Inner Man” (Eph. 3:16).
These verses proclaim an entire personal transformation for followers of Christ. This renewed identity aligns us with the character and nature of God (Eph. 4:24). This New Self is to be characterized by true “Righteousness and Holiness.” This is a divine transformation from an Old identity, marred by sin and spiritual decay, to a —New, Holy, and separated existence that reflects God’s Righteousness. God has sanctified or set apart the New Man by —putting him in the Heavenly Realms in-Christ Jesus (Eph. 2:6). This concept extends ‘above’ and ‘beyond’ mere behavior modification (good works) to an entire Inner Transformation —a complete renewal of the believer’s moral and spiritual nature. Reckon our Old Man to be dead: “In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus” (Rom. 6:11). “Put-Off the Old Man, Renew the Spirit of our Mind, and Put-On the New Man” that aligns with our faith to promote a continuous spiritual growth and maturity. JESUS came to give us Eternal abundant Life-!
