What does the Bible say about the “Believer’s” Light?

“The people living in darkness have seen a Great Light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a Light has dawned” (Matt. 4:16)

GOD has entrusted His LIGHT into our frail and fallible human bodies (jars of clay, 2 Cor. 4:7). Paul’s focus, however, was not on the perishable container (our flesh), but on its priceless contents (The New ‘holy’ Spirit in our New Man) - the New Creature in-Christ Jesus. This is GOD’s power living in Us. Though our flesh is weak, our Spirit is Strong, and GOD uses us to spread His Good News. And, he gives us Power to do His work on earth. Knowing that this Power is His, not ours, should keep us from pride and motivate us to keep daily contact with GOD, our Power source. Our responsibility is to let people see GOD through us.
